ChathamOnline is the web-based campus of Chatham College. Founded in 1869, Chatham College is dedicated to enabling its graduates to make an impact on the world around them. Graduates of Chatham College leave with a social consciousness, an awareness and understanding of the environment, an interest in public service, the ability to communicate effectively, and a strong grounding in liberal arts and science education.

ChathamOnline is an extension of Chatham College meant to be accessible to non-traditional students and those who have to work full-time while attending college or raise families. Students of ChathamOnline will be able to take single courses for their general studies requirements in an attempt to decide on a major, or they can decide on a major upon enrollment.

ChathamOnline was built to be an entire online campus rather than just a class database. Students of ChathamOnline have access to an online library, an auditorium, social spaces, and a bookstore, as well as school resources like financial aid, admissions, advising, and registration. Course instructors can be contacted by telephone and will even hold office hours -- times when they'll be available for consultation.
