The Health Management and Policy specialization will prepare you to administer health and medical care services within the "integrated delivery systems" model. This specialization will also prepare you to become an administrator of health profession programs (e.g., nursing, public health, and allied health) in higher education institutions. You will graduate ready to provide administrative leadership and to conduct research to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the services that healthcare organizations provide.

This option allows you to study independently while working with a faculty mentor to complete scholarly papers and study topics that reflect your interests. In addition to attending face–to–face residencies, you will complete faculty–guided independent research through Walden's signature Knowledge Area Modules (KAMs).
