This program is designed to provide knowledge in all aspects of event and meeting management, including the selection of appropriate meeting sights, pre-event publicity and marketing, audio-visual aids, budgeting, negotiation, and contracts. This certificate requires completion of four courses: HT-MGT 333 Special Event and Conference Planning (formerly HT-MGT 331), HT-MGT 332 Convention Sales, HT-MGT 334 Event Management, & HT-MGT 382 Hospitality Marketing. Required courses will be taught each year during the months of January-July.
