Masters Degree Online is a Great Choice for Professionals

It is often later in life that working professionals decide that they want to go back to school to pursue their master's degree. Earning your masters degree can help you to move forward in your career, as well as raise your earning potential. Maters degree holders earn significantly more over their lifetime than those who only have a bachelors degree.

When she decided to pursue a master's degree, Eudora USD 491 director of curriculum and instruction Marla Johnson knew what she wanted, but she wasn't sure how to find it.

It was 2006 and she was teaching math at Eudora Middle School. She wanted to get a
master's degree in curriculum and instruction, but she wanted to add an area of emphasis to her degree. However, many of the degree programs she found at traditional colleges were more general than that.

Johnson said convenience was one of the main reasons she chose to get an online degree.

"It's much more flexible and since it's a 24/7 thing, you could work on your classes anytime," Johnson said.

A masters degree program online will help you achieve your professional goals, and allow you to have the best opportunities for the top jobs. The completion of your master's degree program will require approximately 30 and 60 credit hours and could possibly be accomplished in one or two years of full-time study.
