Animation is a Hot Career

A career in animation is a popular choice if you have artistic talent, and an aptitude for computers. Earning an animation degree can land you coveted jobs at major film studios and graphics companies. This is a popular career choice, and those with the skills can work in this very fast paced career.

DreamWorks Animation SKG said Thursday it will boost its production pace to five movies every two years -- adding a picture to its previous two-a-year release schedule.

The animated moviemaker, with principal animation studios in Redwood City, unveiled slate of animated features through 2012. Five will be original films and three will be sequels based on the company's Shrek, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda. All will be produced in 3D, the company said.

When you go to art school and earn your animation degree online, you might have opportunities to work on feature films, commercials and more. There are many different areas in animation, and schooling in this area will help you find the right niche. Animation is a hot field right now, and those who have superior skills and a degree will be best suited for the top jobs.
