Are you looking to earn your business degree online? Even though jobs are hard to come by at this time, those who have a degree in business may have great opportunities like this one announced my Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance.
Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company is looking to recruit some 40-50 sales agents on Long Island, part of a campaign to hire 2000 people nationally.
Agents, who are not employees of the company, build their own financial services practices under the MassMutual umbrella, often getting office space, administrative staff, and other resources for setting-up and growing their practices. “This is a great opportunity for people who want to be in business for themselves, but not by themselves,” said Scott Rich, vice president of field force development, in a news release.
The company is looking for seasoned professionals and career changers of whom “there is a high quality pool right now,” says Staasi Heropoulos, public relations director. New college grads are also invited to apply, especially those who are entrepreneurial, ambitious, creative, articulate and caring, he says. A business degree is great, but Heropoulos says that top performers have also come from fields such as psychology and sociology.
As agents are “ramping up” in their first year they can earn $40,000 to $80,000, depending on their experience and how hard they work, he says, though, ultimately, there’s no limit.
Having a business degree can give you the tools to work in many areas of business. A bachelor’s degree will make you employable, but a master’s degree in business will put you on the scale of top earners.
