I am considering California Southern's online JD program, but rather than just read the website and speak to the schools representatives, I'd also like to speak with current students, and graduates. If I can not be put in touch with current students and recent graduates, I may try to attend -- or hover near-- the August 2009 graduation in Irvine to try to chat with the JD graduates -- to talk with JD graduates who are willing to share the experience. In Dec I suffered a death in the family, and not having time to grieve -- went into exams and second term a real mess. This sunk my GPA to the level of my heart - if you understand my meaning. I know given the chance I can raise my performance to my earlier 1st year grades of c's,and B. I don't want to end my law school journey after two years because I suffered several losses (my husband first year, my brother second) I do want to make certain of the next steps and determine if this online option is the right one for me. I believe having passed Crim Law, Torts, Contracts, Community Property, Real Property, Business Associations -- in two years while grieving shows something? Only one class got the better of me in the end, civ pro, and I hate that this can spell the end?

If any students are interested in discussing the JD program with me, please -- lets see how we can get together in person or by phone or email?
best

I worked through my PsyD program here with Dr.Ryan's mentoring and assistance. I didn't finish it in record time--I took a few years--but I had a child, moved to a different state, and received an MA in an unrelated field in the meantime. It was her persistence that made me see my program through to the end, and I appreciate her and the programs that she so carefully mentors. She requires work that is definitely on a par with any traditional off-line/attend classes institution.

I am a graduate of CalSouthern and Dr. Ryan was one of my mentors and professors. I was able to complete my doctorate degree in one year with the flexibility of my classes.

I recommend this school and Dr. Ryan is an excellent professor and advocate for the student.
