City University of Seattle was founded in 1973 in Seattle, Washington. It is a private institution that has awarded more then 40,000 degrees since its opening. While City University is primarily a campus-based study institution, they also offer online degree programs as well as blended study -- a mixture of campus-based and online courses. Through their online college, City University of Seattle awards associate, bachelor, and master degrees as well as undergraduate and graduate certificates.
Online classes at City University are conducted through message boards. Online instructors are required to hold the same degrees as campus-based instructors. However, online instructors are also required to have special training in distance education instruction. City University offers financial aid to its students in the forms of federal grants and loans. Students interested in obtaining federal financial aid will need to complete a FAFSA prior to beginning their classes.
