News: Online Degrees are Becoming Mainstream

Did you know that approximately 65% of campus based undergraduate schools today also offer online programs? Just a few years back, online degree programs were regarded with skepticism. Were the programs valid and worthwhile? Were the degrees even "real"?

Today's online learning programs have come to be known as a great alternative to traditional campus based study. Not only are there more post secondary institutions offering online classes, they are also offering a wide variety of coursework. The assortment of offerings is great, and will continue to be to meet the demand of tech savvy students who take advantage of online classes.

Here are some interesting online learning statistics according to a study done by the Sloan Consortium:

Sixty-five percent of schools offering graduate face-to-face courses also offer graduate courses online.

Sixty-three percent of schools offering undergraduate face-to-face courses also offer undergraduate courses online.

Among all schools offering face-to-face Master's degree programs, 44% also offer Master's programs online.

Among all schools offering face-to-face Business degree programs, 43% also offer online Business programs.

With the popularity of online learning on the rise, institutions of higher learning will continue to offer top quality courses to meet the demand of today's students.
